Brief Answer: i need further details. Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern. There can be numerous causes of cough. But to give you a better diagnosis I need to know following: 1. Since when are you having cough? 2. Associated with expectoration or its dry? If with expectoration tell me amount , colour of cough. 3. Your age , sex and other medical history. 4. Any history of weight loss, blood in sputum or fever? 5. Any history of any cardiac issues? 6. Smoking status? 7. How frequently do you have this cough and at what time of the day? How is it relieved? 8. Any history of Hypertension or diabetes? 9. Any history of associated breathlessness.? I would suggest you to give me the answers point wise only. As a vague answer may not give me a clear clinical picture. Stay Healthy

Brief Answer: GERD is more likely Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. If you just have dry cough after getting up then probably you are suffering from Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). This condition leads to regurgitation and dry cough in the morning. However, if ever you have got any investigations like blood tests or X ray Chest, share them with me. Also tell me in case you have been taking any medications for this like Levocetrizine. If you have taken any anti allergic medications and you are still not relieved, then my diagnosis is more likely to be in favour of GERD. Attach if you have any Xray or Blood tests and also mention what medications you have been taking for this.
