Brief Answer:
Better to test

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your request.
I think I can help you.

First, test your sugars- FBS, PPBS (2 hours) and HbA1C.
We should know exactly what we are dealing with.
So the exact sugars should be known.
So test the sugars.

Second, the measures-
As of now, we dont know the exact levels of sugars.
The symptoms are definitely suggestive.
So start with
1. regular exercise, and long walks.
2. control your weight- 55 to 58 kg is your ideal weight, depending upon body structure.
3. avoid diets that are high in sugars and carbohydrates.
4. avoid foods that increase sugars very fast after having them- what is known as high glycemic foods. These are very bad for sugars. An example is corn flakes, oats and XXXXXXX Complex carbohydrates are better since they take time to get digested, and so sugars rise very slowly. Examples are beans, whole grains, and vegetables.
5.Take plenty of fluids.

Diabetes affects all the systems. So when possible, other systems should be examined (at least annually)-
1. echocardiography- for heart
2. urine for microalbumin- for kidney
3. lipid profile- for blood vessels
4. fundoscopy- for eyes.

Let me know the reports of the blood tests- FBS, PPBS, HbA1C, and I may be able to make further suggestions.
Feel free to contact me for any related information.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
