Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination While On Flomax
Question: I have very frequent urination and have been diagnosed with enlarged prostrate. Also recently i am having leakage at night. I am taking Flomax (generic). Is there any other drug and supplement I can take that will help? I am 68 years old and in excellent health besides this embarrassing problem.

I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.
Yes there are other options in treatment that you can have,here are some options :
You can take a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (5ARIs),Finasteride or Dutasteride together with Flomax (Tamsulosin).
- Furosemid in the afternoon (after you drink the last drink of the day and before you go to bad)or desmopresin may reduce the urination during the night.
-Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) or othet type of survey to reduce the side of the prostate .
It's necessary before starting any of these to examine your prostate first.
I would suggest to go to a Urologist ,he/she will do some examinations also the medication I mentioned need prescription (PSA,ultrasound of the prostate to see the size, urine test ,physical examinations )according to the result you will discuss together about the proper treatment.
Meanwhile follow these advices:
-Avoid drinking fluid in the evening ,no caffeine,no alcohol in the evening .Avoid spicey and irritant food.Train your bladder -Increase time between voids to 3 hours.
