Sorry, forgot to answer question regarding pain, discomfort,or friction and there is none.Have had what ever bacteria or viral infection that is going around(initially sore throat and chest, head and sinus along with coughing for past few weeks and is starting to abate somewhat.I am not sure if this might be associated with it or not. These spots just seemed to appear overnight and after morning shower noticed them, but did not see them two days ago.
Fungal infection: An anitfungal cream will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again and thanks a lot for sending pictures. I am highly grateful that you took pain of shaving and then taking the pictures.
Now after analyzing all the pictures let me first and foremost reassure you that your condition is a simple fungal infection. There is nothing serious or to be worried about the same. It is just starting of the same so the spots are bit XXXXXXX to brownish colored.
To tell you simply regarding this- fungal infections are common type of infections which can affect anybody at any site. But more commonly it affects the areas which are more prone for sweating. Specifically these are related to the hygiene and environmental factors along with certain systemic complaints as in hormonal problem such as diabetes.
Due to hot and humid climate or due to tight or synthetic clothing, it leads to growth of fungus and the typical appearance of the XXXXXXX to brownish colored spots. Tell me how's weather at your local place....is it bit hot or humid !!!
For the betterment kindly follow the suggestion below:
- Keep your self away from hot and humid climate.
- Take two times bath.
- Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments.
-Changed garments two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.
- Do not sit continuously for long hours.
-In my patients I suggest anti-fungal creams such as "Clotrimazole" or "Sertaconazole" or "Amorolfine " to be applied for two times in a very thin layer so that it should not be visible to the naked eye.
-Don't try to scratch or rub the area as can lead to further spread of spots.
- You can use any good antiperspirant powders daily to avoid future infection.
I hope these information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
"Wish you good health and early recovery from the problem"

How long should I expect before I see some retreat of these spots after using one of the creams?
The weather here is cool and I seldom perspire and if so only moderately.
I have been told by my primary care physician that I am pre-diabetic,could that be the cause of this fungus?
Thanks XXXXXXX
Keep good control of sugar and reduce weight
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Welcome again to the forum and thanks a lot for your follow up.
Fungal infections are quite common in pre-diabetic and diabetic persons. So in case if you are pre-diabetic then it can be one of the important cause of same. Increase in sugar level always increases the tendency to develop fungal infections.
I suggest you to keep a good watch on your sugar level and if fluctuating then can take measures accordingly. Keep a good control on your weight also as is one of the important cause of increase in sugar level as well as fungal infections.
For the relief from the condition- it would be taking atleast 7-14 days to see the improvement. So apply the cream very thinly for two times a day for around 14 days and then once for next 7 days.
I hope all the above information will help you in dealing the condition better.
I will be glad to guide you any further of your queries or if not then can close the discussion and rate the answer .
