Fungus On Toe Nails, Green & Loose Growth On Toe Top. What Can Be That?

Hi, Ok so im a nail tech and I do pedicures. I just had a client in with fungus on all her toe nails . I advised her to see a podiatrist cause im not a doc but that didnt bother me as much as this growth of some sort on top of her 2nd toe. It was green and loose. Almost as if it looked like an insect digging in. She told me it hurt but it looked like I could ve just pulled it out it was so loose. WHAT IS THAT??
