Question: Hello Dr. I have an icky tonail that has spread an infestation of fungi throughout entire body. Scalp, face, neck, legs, back, tonsils and also fingernails...and now I have discovered my rectun and vagina to be swollen and covered with large bumps and discharge, I don't think I can take anymore bugs living in my body. I feel them moving quite often and it is making me go nuts
What can I do to make it go away instead of just relocating to differ area on my body

Should also note that went to ER few days ago and was prescribed kflex (?)
And lab work showed that WBC were LOW LOW XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
You perhaps need oral antifungals

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have very carefully gone through the details and understand your concerns. You indeed seem to have a fungal infection and the low WBC count indicates a poor immunity. I would insist you to provide the details of the total and differential leucocyte count so that I can understand the situation better. I would also like to know if you have a history of indulging in high risk sexual activities since it could give you certain diseases that could predispose you to such a situation.

Continue to take Keflex (Cephalexin) (an antibiotic) as directed although I have doubts to whether it would provide any benefits. But you might need to take a few doses of oral fluconazole 150 mg once weekly for 4 weeks. You can use clotrimazole lotion topically as and where required.

Let me know if you have specific queries and I would be glad to help.

Regards
