Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Abdominal Pain
Question: So I had a ham (precooked) and potato dinner last night. I then had two Mexican coca cola bottles some time later, and shortly after the second one, this quite strong, sharp stomach ache/pain came on (would come and go within a minute or two). I laid on my side because that seemed to help a bit. Woke up today and it's a little better, but not much. I mentioned the food part because I'm curious if this is possible food poisoning. I wonder if it's something like Gastritis, due to the stomach pain almost immediately after the second coca cola. My stool looks "normal" and going to the restroom does seem to help a little. Just wondering if it's anything to be concerned about.
Brief Answer:
Probably gastric/stomach irritation. Take omeprazole.
Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks for this query.
I have reviewed this information fully. It is unlikely to be food poisoning seen the absence of vomiting and diarrhea. However, this raises genuine concerns about a possible gastric irritation. Coke is acidic and wouldn’t be unlikely to cause such irritation.
I will suggest that you take omeprazole, 20mg daily for 5days to help relief this pain. If it however persists, I will suggest that you seek further consolation, though very unlikely to be so.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Understood doctor. Thank you.
Of course, right after I submitted the question, i had liquid stool/diarrhea. I do not know if it is a one time issue or not, but my stool changed so i figured it was worth mentioning .

Brief Answer:
Any more stools?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
AM pretty convinced this is food intoxication and your baby runs no risk. However, hygienic measures are advised as always. Drink much fluids to replace losses and keep me posted if anything changes.
I wish you well.

I havent had another stool since, but cramping is still present. I know you feel that its food intoxication but is there a chance that this is constipation?
Brief Answer:
Constipation doesn’t come with liquid stools!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is so unlikely to be constipation. Constipation means hard and infrequent stool. This is probably not what you have. Stay calm and let’s monitor closely if there would be need for further specific actions.
I wish you well.
