Suggest Treatment For Gastritis Caused By Anxiety
Question: My grandson is 17 years old. He appears very healthy except for an ongoing problem with vomiting for no ap
parent reason. this happens most often in the morning but is now happening at different times of the day. He is 220 lbs and 5 ft 11 in. He is an active Varsity football player. no bloody stools nor blood in his emesis. His father died 2 yrs ago which was very tramatic for him. The family is on Obama care which poses problems. He finally has an appointment with a GI PA..His family Dr gave him a script for something similar to Reglan which has given him diarrhea.. Today he only retches but no emesis. The school nurse often sends him home from school which is a huge problem but he does feel terrible. Any thoughts? we need some serious direction..

Most important casue of vomiting could include gastritis, which is an inflammation of the stomach lining, sometimes caused by alcohol, smoking, and certain over the counter medicines like ibuprofen as well as by certain bacteria. Gastritis is more likely if you also have symptoms such as heartburn.As metochlorpromide is not helping hiim you could switch over to domperidomme 30 mg slow releae tablets along with 20mg Rabeprazole doses.
Pepto bismol can also be tyaken with it for rew days.
My theory is that due to post traumatic stress and anxiety child has devevloped Gastritis causing the problem.
Consider all medications i suggested he would be fine in few days.
