Question: I have had a moderate cold for two weeks. Monday my stomach started cramping and i had pain in both sides of my back. it was worse towards the end of the day and evening, I could eat, but was uncomfortable. It was better on tuesday morning, but got uncomfortable again afternoon and evening on Tuesday. Today was pretty normal until late afternoon and the pain level has stayed constant making it uncomfortable to lay in bed, sit, etc….making it difficult to go to sleep. I have been taking recommended doses of otc cold medicine with Acetomenophine - could I have been taking too much of that? should I go see a doctor about this?

Brief Answer:
Looks like gastritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Looks like you have got gastritis, as side effect of Acetaminophen.

Try antacids with this. Dont be empty stomach.Take medications after food.Take non spicy meal.

Let me know if that helps.

Regards.
