Suggest Treatment For Gastritis

default
Posted on Sat, 27 Dec 2014
Question: I'm new to gastric and I don't have what to do and what not to do. One thing is that I'm always on diet so I adore grapefruit a lot. I do keep track on my diet, get sufficient protein and carbs and other nutrients. I'm also taking Herbalife products for about 2 years already. I just got gastric recently.

Brief Answer:
HAve you been having symptoms lately?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this gastritis that you have recently been diagnosed with. Have you been having any symptoms recently? It is true that spicy foods may provoke your symptoms. Paying attention to this would be helpful What to do and not do varies from patient to patient. If you think there is a particular food type that always causes pain after consumption, then you should be eliminating or controlling its consumption. What may cause problems for others would not necessarily do so in your case. In that light, I will suggest that you keep a personal diary and make a personalized list for yourself.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services. Keep me updated and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

I'm having pain and I took medication given by my company panel doctor this morning. I took twice today and it doesn't work. I visited the clinic again and doctor said it could be NOT gastric so he gave me some stronger medication. According to the doctor, he said if the pain continues until tomorrow, I may have to refer to specialist and do a thorough check up.
What other cause could it be?
My period delayed and the doctor checked and confirmed that I'm not pregnant. It feels a little bloated and its like period pain but its not.

Brief Answer:
What drugs are you taking?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry to hear about this persistent pain. Can you please detail your symptoms as well as mention the medications u=you have been trying? You have not described your symptoms to me and it would be very difficult to suspect a possible cause of your symptoms without this information.

I await your updates on this.

Until then, I wish you well.

It hurts even when I walk..its on the lower stomach, and it feels and even look bloated. Doctor prescribed me Macgel, but the second time I visited he prescribed me Controloc 40mg, one tablet a day. I took one about 7 hours ago and it still hurts until now. If it still hurts tomorrow, I might have to be referred to a specialist and need to be hospitalized.

Brief Answer:
If it hurts in the lower abdomen, not likely to be gastritis!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The location of this pain and the fact that it is provoked by walking is not typical of gastritis. Gastritis is related to food intake and would nor be provoked or aggravated by walking. With you having delayed menses as well, it would make more sense for the doctors to consider a possible gynecological origin for this pain. It may be related to your delayed menses or an associated problem.

I will be of the opinion that you be referred to a specialist tomorrow because the exact cause of this pain is not identified and you are not doing any better on treatment.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for the updates and keep me posted.
