Brief Answer:
GERD

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Yes you are having gastroesophageal reflux disease.
You have mentioned you feel the food gets stuck in the chest. Usually in persons with GERD, they feel something stuck in the throat and is called globus pharngeus and usually responds to the treatment given for GERD.

But you have mentioned that you feel something is stuck in the chest. I would advise you to get an endoscopy done to see if there is any obstruction or inflammation in the food pipe.
Whatever medications you have been taking are enough and you can continue taking them.

You need to quit drinking alcohol as it worsens reflux.

The other things you need to do for complete relief are -
1. Avoid smoking if you have this habit.
2. Avoid coffee, citrus, chocolate, carbonated beverages, spicy/masala/fried food
3. Avoid eating full stomach. Instead eat multiple smaller meals
4. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
