Suggest Treatment For Genital Wart

Question: Hello Doctor,
So I recently asked a question about some chicken skin like bumps on my vagina and I have only slept with 3 people and my current boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and he has never exhibited any symptoms like bumps or anything and he has also never had any other sex partners. Recently I read that applying vinegar to a bump in the vaginal area could indicate whether or not it is a genital wart if it turns white. I have done this several times and each time there is no change to the bump and they don't turn white at all. I just want to ask if I am most likely in the clear then. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Warts are due to HPV
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic.I understand your concern.Iam glad to answer you again.
In my opinion warts are usually due to HPV viral infection which are multiple lesions with projections.
And that can be diagnosed better on physical examination. So I suggest you kindly to send a picture if possible.
As yours are just bumps with no associated symptoms it might be a normal skin variant
or with exacerbation of sweat or sebaceous glands.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Best regards...Dr srilatha

hello doctor,
I was able to take a picture and I am not sure how to send it? Is the vinegar test I tried a good indicator? And can you tell me how to send a picture?

Brief Answer:
upload to healthcare magic
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query.I understand your concern.
In my opinion you can upload the picture to healthcare magic which will be forwarded to me by the team.
Vinegar test alone is not effective .It is combined with colposcopy for better visualization and diagnosis of HPV infection.
Colposcopy is a procedure done by gynaecologist to know the abnormal areas on cervix.
As you are sexually active and 21 years of age I suggest you to go for pap smear yearly.
Pap smear is a screening tool for carcinoma cervix.
Practice safe sex with condom.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss furthur.
