Suggest Treatment For Genital Wart
Treatment of genital wart
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Podophyllotoxin solution has to be applied by a doctor on the wart twice weekly for upto 6 weeks.
The area can be washed off after 2-4 hours of application of this solution.
Apart from this other treatment options are:
Application of trichloroacetic acid 80-90 percent on the wart tissue.
This has to be applied by a dermatologist.
Imiquimod 5 percent can also be used.
It is to be applied with fingers on the wart three times per week ( every alternate night ) upto 16 weeks. The area is washed with water after 6-10 hours after application.
This can be used by the patient himself.
Other than these you can go for cryosurgery with liquid nitrogen or laser treatment of the warts

Go for potassium hydroxide examination of the scraping
Detailed Answer:
There are both the possibilities like wart as well fungal infection.
To rule out these you can go for potassium hydroxide examination of the scraping. It can confirm whether it is fungal infection or not.
Alternatively you can apply antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream on the affected area twice daily for 7-10 days.
If it shows improvement then it is fungal infection.
Otherwise possibility of wart is there.
