Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Thanks for the follow up.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, the antibiotics could clear the disease.
I also advice you to get your partner treated.
Your partner also should undergo testing and treatment for gonorrhea. Your partner receives the same treatment you do. Even if you've been treated for gonorrhea, you can be reinfected if your partner isn't treated.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a speedy recovery and good health

Hi,
Thanks for your follow up.
CDC ( centre for disease control and prevention) recommends combination therapy with ceftriaxone 250 mg intramuscularly and either azithromycin 1 g orally as a single dose or doxycycline 100 mg orally twice daily for 7 days as the most reliably effective treatment for gonorrhea.
CDC no longer recommends cefixime ( Tab Suprax) at any dose as a first-line regimen for treatment of gonococcal infections.
I recommend you to kindly consult your doctor for review of medication.
Wish you a speedy recovery and good health.
