Suggest Treatment For Gout

I should think that this is a rheumatology related question!?
My Father is 65 Years of Age. He has been diagnosed of having Gout problem. He discovered this after consulting a Orthopedic Physician.
The symptoms were acute pain and swelling of the right leg below the ankle.
His Uric Acid / Serum level is 7.6 and the ESR is 02.
He has been given Colchicine for reducing the pain 3-4 times a day and Zyloric for reducing the Uric Acid level for 6 weeks.
Kindly opine on the above and further precautions to be taken or care for such treatments.
I have attached the images and reports for reference.
Thank you,

Gouty arthritis
Detailed Answer:
good evening
thank you for writing on health care magic
I have seen the pics and the prescription.. well the diagnosis is right. it is gout. as for the management...
1/ the dose of colchicine is a bit high than what we usually use. 2 tablets a day is sufficient. considering your dad s age it can cause loose stools and bowel problems
2. As for zyloric we normally don't use it during acute attack as it worsens the attack. we prefer waiting for 3 to 4 weeks before commencing it as it can flare the attack and prolong the recovery. so if you haven't started on it, I would suggest wait for it.
take zycolchine o.5 mg twice daily along with painkillers..like naprosyn or combiflam. get Him kn low uric acid diet like no Alchohol or non veg and more dairy products
the decision to start zyoloric depends on frequency of attacks. first attack we never start as one has to take it life long if started
hope the information was useful

My father started on Colchicine and Zyloric yesterday. Today the pain and swelling has come down fairly.
Also could you suggest and specific foods that can reduce such occurrences, also is it fine to consume white meat like Chicken?
Many Thanks,

Diet in Gout
Detailed Answer:
Good morning XXXXXXX
Sorry for the delayed reply. Was caught up in duties
As for the diet...
1. Avoid Sea food or red meat( Mutton)
2. He can have chicken once in a while, but not on regular basis
3. Strict no to Alchohol and soft drinks
4. Increase dairy products like milk curd in the diet
5. Avoid heavy protein dals like rajma, Arar...Rest he can have
6. Adeqaute hydration, around 1.5 litres of water daily( if there is no contraindication to it) as it will help filter out the uric acid
These ones should suffice
Hope the information was useful
