Brief Answer:
hello dear. its an indolent tumor but prognosis is not very good
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. Pancreatic neuroendo tumor grade 2 is an intermediate grade aggressive tumor. Its slow growing but ultimately spreads to distant areas. Treatment consist of somatostatin therapy alone or in a combination witj drugs like everolimus. Theprognosis is not actually good but patient can survive upto an averagw of 2 years. If first therapy fails, we can add 2 nd line drugs like capecitabine and temozolamide.
Thanks and regards

Thanks for your quick response. As I mentioned, doctors in TATA memorial are suggesting to stop SANDOSTATIN LAR 30MG monthly injections and immediately start PRRT. Looking at his current state, should we start PRRT immediately since this treatment might cause side effects as well? Since we reside in NCR, could you please suggest a Oncologist who we can get in touch with personally with all the reports?
Brief Answer:
hello dear. yes it is effective
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. PRRT is a novel form of radionuclide therapy which has good results although still in trial phase. We also refer a few of our patients to there for prrt. Its worth trying if sandostatin has failed. You can discuss this with any of the oncologist at good institute like XXXXXXX , rgci or dhrc.
