Suggest Treatment For Growing Lump In Groin Area
Question: I need advice on this lump it has gotten so much bigger today, is it a tumor? Cancer? Std?

As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
Having seen the swelling on the photograph, it looks like an infected area.
You must get it examined by a doctor or surgeon, as it may need to be drained.
Infected swellings of this type, may need to be drained, if they contain pus.
If you leave it as such, it'll increase, and cause more pain and rupture, or burst open. It doesn't look like a cancerous tumor. STD will be known after tests.
You should get your blood Hb,CBC, sugar, creatinine, VDRL,HbsAg,and HIV done.
If you take alcohol daily, check your blood for LFT also.
With these reports, the doctor after examination, will be able to give you the proper advice.

Should i drain it at home or is that not recommended? I honestly am in pain to an extent that i can barely move. Thanks doc for your time

In a clinic or hospital, after an examination, if drainage is considered, it's done with totally sterile equipment and anti-septic medicines, with cover of antibiotics.
After drainage, sterilised dressings are applied.
Later, antibiotics are continued as needed.

Thanks doc but what i dont understand is why did it get infected in the first place? I shower on a daily basis. Could it be some sort of STD? What kind of doctor should i go see? Have you seen how it evolved in a matter of hours?
