Suggest Treatment For Hairy Tongue And White Spots At The Back Of The Throat
Needs more details..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for writing to us..
As per your complain in case if you have hairy tongue then it can be due to some yeast growth also along with other factors but taking Diflucan that is a typically fungal infection should be done only if Oral Thrush is diagnosis..
Oral Thrush represents as white cheesy deposit over the tongue surface but as you have yellow coating on the tongue, it does not seems to be a cause in your case..
However please provide me following details so that I can guide you better..
1. Since how long is the coating present?
2.Is it scraped or removed if you try to remove?
3.Do you have any pain or soreness associated with the coating?
4.Did the coating appeared after taking antibiotics or was previously present?
5.Do you have any medical problems or are you on any medications?
6.Please attach a clear image of your tongue for a better understanding..

Then I saw white patches on top palate towards the back. And tongue got thick and greenish. Brushed it but still there. It turned brownish but now back to yellow. White spots on back of throat seem gone, just red now. I did take ammoxicillan 2 weeks ago. Never had this problem before. Was Also taking Flagyl. I am under a lot of stress and started taking Zanax 0.25 mg.
I will see if I can attach picture from my pc. Dont see option on phone

Hi..
Welcome back..
As per the explanation and image attached it seems like Oral Thrush only..
But you should get a clinical investigation done along with a microscopy of scraping from tongue for diagnosis .
As of now you should start gargling with Nystatin mouthwash and suck Clotrimazole ..
You can take plenty of Probiotics like Yogurt and garlic..
Clear your tongue using a tongue cleaner..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water..
Please write back for further queries..
Regards.
