Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for the query through Health care magic. I have read it & understood your concern.to
Black dots on tongue / gum at your age could be due to-
- After consuming The calcium gummies ,( if it is calcium with vitamins & minerals including iron supplement )more so if the product is chewed or sucked.)
- May follow excessive smoking/ Tobacco chewing/ antibiotics.
- Injury to gum, tongue while harsh brushing / tongue piercing/ biting/ vitamin B deficiency/ eating .
- May be due to infection ( fungal / bacterial ) . In such condition it is associated with burning, itching or pain.
- Hairy tongue is a possibility & needs doctors treatment
* In such conditions , I would suggest-
- Alter your mouth cleaning pattern. Brush your teeth twice with cleaning of tongue / gum with tongue cleaner or finger. Avoid excessive rubbing to cause trauma/ abrasion & increase the trouble.
- Stop sucking or chewing the gummie. Swallow it with water.
- quit smoking.
- Continue gargles with warm water to keep oral cavity clean.
The staining may vanish in couple of days with cleaning itself. (The staining due to medicines/ chemicals would take a longer time- but it would start getting faint )
* in case there is no change in the stain or it recurs.. you should consult your family doctor/ E N T surgeon for his expert advise. He would prescribe you needful antibiotic/ anti fungal agent ( local or oral ) or vitamin B complex as per need to fix your problem.
Thus self care & needful expert advise would help you in getting rid of the black dots on tongue /gum.
I hope that answers your query. Any more information you want please don't hesitate to ask.
