Suggest Treatment For Hard Bump Under The Skin On My Shin

I have a small (about the size of the fingernail on my pinky) hard (almost pointy) bump under the skin on my shin. It moves a bit when you palpate it and it doesn't hurt but the area around it is a little sore but that could be due to lifting weights/recent hard exercise. I am female, 49 yo, active and in good health. Any cause for concern?
Thanks,
Lin
It can be a post inflammatory fibrosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that it is a post inflammatory fibrosis. You may have a injury or a insect bite or a boil, which you did not noticed and after some time it healed automatically. After healing that tissue become like hard nodule. Soon this will going to dissolve also.
As you said that area near it is little sore suggest that it may be active in outer part. It is not very serious problem.
I would suggest you following.
1. Avoid scratching or rubbing.
2.Do not wear any tight clothing.
3.Take Brufen twice daily for inflammation.
4. Hot water fomentation is also helpful.
5.If it increase in size than you may need antibiotics after your doctor's consultation.
I hope this answer will be helpful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
