Suggest Treatment For Hard Bumps On The Srotum

default
Posted on Tue, 11 Aug 2015
Question: Several hard bumps have appeared on my scrotum. What is this condition and how do I treat it? The way I noticed these bumps made me think they appeared over night, but I can only say they didnt hurt until suddenly one morning a couple days ago. My recent medical history is complicated, and when I began writing only what has happened to my scrotum in the last few months, it was becoming quite lengthy, so I will provide history if and how much is asked for.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be small boils.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have gone through the picture you uploaded.

It looks like a small multiple boils or cystic acne over the scrotum which might be painful and tender.

Boils are commonly due to bacterial infection (mostly staphylococcal) in a person with Poor nutrition or Poor hygiene or diabetes or obesity etc.

Tab.Phexin 500mg (1st generation Cephalosporin) is a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic and it is very well effective to cure cystic acne.

However, you can also be given other broad spectrum antibiotics like 2nd and 3rd cephalosporin or fluroquinolones (levofloxacin or ofloxacin) as per your doctor's advice.

Small boils could be treated with proper gram-positive antibiotic coverage for 3 to 5 days small course.

So,consult some local doctor or GP who will know about the antibiotics and other symptomatic treatment.

Hope this will help you.
