Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump On Perineal Area Behind Scrotum

Question: I have been diagnosed with prostattis about 2 weeks ago. My symptoms are slowly improving with Raphaflo and antibiotics. But lately I've developed a hard lump on my perineal area right behing the scrotum. It's red and inflamed and it's very hard to sit on. Does this relate to prostatitis or possibly something else? It's worse at night but the pain does not go away. What can I do? Is this something I should go to the ER with?
Brief Answer:
Yes, get this lump examined!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about the prostatitis and this lump that you have reported. A review of your information suggests that you need to get this lump evaluated. With the knowledge of an infection around the corner, this could be a possible extension of the infection from the prostate gland. I strongly recommend that you get it fully evaluated and managed accordingly.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Can this lump go away on its own? Or can it also get worse with more pain?
Brief Answer:
I wouldlike to see it examined!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Lumps may contain pus and need drainage. I will like to see it fully evaluated and managed accordingly. Chances of this lump disappearing alone are not 100% and I will not want to take any risk because of the location!
I wish you well. Keep me posted.
