Brief Answer:
Possibly reactionary

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. I would specifically for the signs that make you think that the child has head congestion. Possibly the child is just having simple reactionary features that often present after doses of DPT (diphtheria vaccine). Such symptoms usually occur for a day or two and subside spontaneously thereafter. No interventions are needed except for giving paracetamol or acetaminophen if there is rise in temperature.

Let me know if I could help further.

the baby had her shots and went on a week's vacation. Just returning. Should she still have the symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Could be viral

Detailed Answer:
Pardon me for not getting that clearly. In such a case it is likely to be due to a viral infection which could have been precipitated by the change in weather.
