Question: Horrific as this is I need to ask a question. My son was sexually abused very young by his father, He was forced to swallow my x-huband's semen many times until he was 5 when I was made aware of this. I don't know the full details except what's in the report as my son couldn't give a lot of information. To this day I don't know what age it started just when he was 5 I found out from the school and then filed divorce. My son has had heart burn for years and wanted to know if that would be the cause. My son is 36 still won't talk to me about the incident. In the report it stated other really bad stuff happened and I believe other men might have been involved. So, to the point, could this be the result of my son having heartburn or acid reflux.

Firstly, I am so sorry for the mental sufferings of your son.

As per your question, no, Gastritis or Heartburn is not caused by sexual abuse. However, the high levels of anxiety(Subconscious) for years may increase the symptoms. Increased levels of anxiety stimulates the vagal nerve and can cause reflux esophagitis, severe gastritis and heartburn.
However there is no direct correlation between sexual abuse and gastritis.
