Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Prednisolone causes a lot of gastritis.
No worries we would help you fight that.
Antacid OTC should be taken just before meals for a better absorption and effect.
I advise following in such situations:
1. To take Pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day for 5 days.
2. To have a syrup like Sucralfate and Oxetaine combination available as Sucral-O thrice daily for 5 days
3. To take soft and bland diet.
4. Eat ice creams and cold milk if the primary condition allows.
By following these measures the acidity would settle within 5 days.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
