I don't think is magnesium defficensy
Detailed Answer:
Hello ! Thank you for using HCM.
I have gone through your question and i understand your concern.
I don't think that you have magnesium defficensy this could be just a side effect of the drug or symptoms of the gastric reflux.
Nexium ( esomeprazol, magnesium ) contain magnesium , in that case you would have arrhytmias, seizure ,muscle cramps, weakness .I would recommend to stop oral Magnesium salt to prevent the opposite effect .
Your body will be back to normal after you stop the medication.
Another thing that I would like to explain is how you should use Nexium:
-Nexium is not for acute use ,you can't take just it for one -2 days and to expect 100%effect .
It is a chronic drug that means that you should take at least 2 weeks.Nexium is 100%effective after you take at least 3 days in a row .
Don't do that :take one day-stop -take the other day -stop.
-80 is way to much ,may one of the reason for the side effect you have .The maximum dosage reccomended is 20 mg 2×day not more .
If I were your treating doctor I would advice to start with 20mg/day until your body get use ( sometimes being fogy , dizzines may go away after your body get use of the medication )if these symptoms persist i would stop the medication and start a antihistamine drug ( anti h2)-Ranitidine 150 mg 2x/day .
Folow a healthy lifestyle (it's very important ):
-no coffe , no alcohol, no spicey or fried food .
-lose weight if you are overweight, eat small meals several time, eat dinner at least 2 hours before you go to bad, while you sleep keep the head higher than the body ( use a pillow at least 10cm hight).
Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know for any further clarifications, I will be happy to help.
Take Care!
