Question:
Hi there, my name is XXXXXXX XXXX I am female 30 years of age.

i have been traveling through Vietnam and I got period 7 days ago, there has been no sign of it stopping and it's getting heavier with excruciating pains. ( no pain killers stop the pain) ponstan and diclofenac.

I had been taking primolut 5mg to prevent my period whilst traveling but they did not work so I stopped taking them after 3 days.

my usual cycle is 5-6 days with it barely visible after the 5th day, could this unusual cycle be from the primolut or do I need to see a doctor?

I am not pregnant.

Brief Answer:
Pause-MF can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The unusual heavy bleeding that you are having could be due to stopping the hormonal pill. Now to stop the bleeding you can take Pause-MF tablet thrice a day- it contains tranexaemic acid to stop the bleeding. in case you are having a very heavy bleeding with clots then hormonal tablets like birth control pills or primolut 5mg thrice a day for at least 15-20 days will help in stopping the bleeding. You will need a prescription by a gynecologist for that.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Thank you for that.

Will it correct itself and stop on its own or will I have to take these pills that you have recommended? The reason I ask is that the language barrier here in Vietnam has been making it difficult to communicate.
If it will end on its own and not be detrimental to my wellbeing I will just ride it out for the next few days?
