Brief Answer:
i need to see your latest reports

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Glad to hear from you again.

Before I can advice you to get treated or to wait, I will like to go through your latest liver function test. As the decision is heavily dependent upon the functioning of your liver.

And regarding the development of chronic hepatitis C, as per studies, around 70-80% people infected with this virus develop chronic hepatitis C.

For asymptotic patients with normal liver functions there is no clear cut recommendation for treatment. Some prefer wait and watch and some advocate for early and aggressive treatment.

That's why I want to know your latest liver profile test report, specially the ALP values.

Waiting for your reply.

Dr. Ashish Verma

Thanks for getting back to me when I have my ALP test and liver function done I will email you the information.
One more thing I can not for love or money keep weight on. I have always been a thin person in the genes I guess My Father's whole family thin people. I'm 5'5 and weight around 109 my normal weight is usually 120-125 lbs. Is this part of the hepatitis C virus? I still eat well more than my husband and son do.

Thanks for your time
Take care and best regards

Brief Answer:
its genetic, i believe

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Sorry for the delayed reply.

Your being lean is mostly genetic and not related to hepatitis C. As with liver failure there occurs hypoprotenemia leading to generalized body swelling and weight loss.

And you can send me the last report you have, if it is not older than six months. Need not get a new one.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Verma
