Question: Suggest treatment for high BP
doctor
Answered by Dr. Kathy Robinson (35 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Need blood work and medications

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.

Looking at your previous question, I see that your blood pressure readings are quite high. You need to see a doctor and have an exam and blood work done to make sure that there are no reversible causes for your high blood pressure like high thyroid levels. If that is normal then you will need to be on a blood pressure medication to prevent complications of high blood pressure like heart attack and stroke.

Other things you can do to lower your blood pressure are to eat no salt or salty food at all. It is also good to avoid alcohol, tobacco and caffeine because they can all raise your blood pressure. Getting adequate sleep, doing some walking and eating a healthy diet with fresh fruits and vegetables will be good for you as well.

Please check with your doctor soon. Thank you for using HCM
