Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure
Question: i have high blood pressure of 200/100 can i take 1 and half of my medication to control that.

Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Blood pressure above 180/100mmhg should be treated on emergency room as it has many complications if left untreated. So my advice first is to visit your doctor on priority basis .
Without any knowledge about your medication and it's dose you are taking its not possible to advise you about to take it one and half of normal but if you don't have any opinions available near by and you have significant problem at present then you can take it on emergency basis and visit emergency room as at this blood pressure 1.5 times the normal dose you are taking will cause no harm But it's only when no options available only.
Kindly go to emergency room and ask them to do your ecg and 2d echo also, to understand the heart function.
Usually the target blood pressure should be less then 140/90 mmhg at your age persistently.
You can ask your doctor about 24 hrs ambulatory blood pressure monitoring machine which will give your doctor idea about fluctuations in your blood pressure and then treatment will be more efficacious.
Kindly give me the names and dosage of the medications, so I can guide you properly. Till then don't get panic and visit emergency room if you have 200/100 blood pressure at present.
