Brief Answer:
He must drink much water and avoid working in very hot temperatures!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This all boils down to avoiding high temperatures for vigorous outdoor work and drinking much water. He can reorganize such that he stays away when temperatures are too high. If he has activities that can be done indoors and avoid exposing to high temperatures, he should review his schedule.

In all, avoid high temperatures an drink much water as possible. Rescheduling tasks to avoid being exposed to sun would be helpful.

I hope this helps. I wish your son well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Is he ok with drinking the Pedialyte and Gatorades?

Also, would potassium pills help him ?

Brief Answer:
NO potassium pills!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Pedialyte is not the best solution. This is only useful when we are dehydrated. Gatorade and plain water would be okay if he drinks this in sufficient volumes.

I wish your son well and do well to keep me updated!
