Question: Yes, thank you. A three year old with a temp of 102.1...how to treat?

Fever of 102 fahrenheit should be given paracetamol syrup immediately and if fever is not relieved than cold sponging should be done.

Dose of drugs in children depends on weight of child. So, please revert with weight of child.

Additionally, we have to look for cause of fever. Please give some more history regarding this.

If despite giving paracetamol fever persists than you should go to ER.

Paracetamol decreases temperature for a short time and we have to look for the cause of fever. So, if fever persists, you should get the child examined by a doctor.
