Suggest Treatment For High Fever With Rashes On The Body In An Infant
Question: Hi. My 15 month old has had fever for the last 36 hours or so (between 38.5- 39.4c). She points to her mouth and cries so I assumed it was teething pain. Today i noticed a rash on her body, with tiny red spots. They are on chest and back but also a few spots on her arms and legs. Ive attached pictures of the spots. She has a slightly runny nose, no cough.
Could this be measles?

Based on your description and the images it looks like viral infection with rash.
But unlikely to be measles as it is more extensive and diffusely spreading.
Numerous viral infections can cause similar rash but no need to worry.
It will settle down in a few days.
Continue paracetamol for fever.
Ensure she drinks plenty of liquids to keep her hydrated.
If rash increases or if she develops other symptoms like cough, vomiting, etc You need to consult with your pediatrician
You mentioned that she points to her mouth. It is better to get her throat examined to rule out any infection.
