First we will find out the reason for high heart rate. Once we find the reason we will treat the reason and automatically the high rate will come down. So it is the treatment of cause that will help to avoid complication and not to reduce the rate in actual. Suppose there is anxiety then we use Beta blocker like Propanolol. Suppose it is just high temperature we use fever reducers. If there is high thyroid hormone we use anti thyroid medication.
So it is important to evaluate the cause before treatment.
