Suggest Treatment For High Heart Rate

Go for complete heart check up as per my advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Heat rate above 140 per minute at rest usually is abnormal. It's usually seen in Arrhythmia-SVT(supra ventricularyTachycardia) (rate or rhythm disturbances) or might be seen in severe anxiety, however it's unlikely to go beyond 140 . Thyroid abnormalities sometimes also lead to hypertension and Arrhythmia/Tachycardia. Your blood pressure is also not controlled. Your doctor needs to increase the dosage of hypertension medicines also.
So, my advice to you is -
1. Ask your doctor to add B-blocker (like metoprolol or nebivolol) drug in your medications. It will control both heart rate and blood pressure.
2. To diagnose the problem, kindly go for 24 hrs ecg monitoring (Holter Monitoring). It will give confirmation regarding which type of rhythm disturbances you have, whether it's serious or not. So go for it without delay.
3. Blood pressure should remain below 140/90 mmhg. Sometimes during the episodes of Tachycardia only patients have hypertension, so that must be rule out first. If possible you should also do 24 hrs ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
4. Do your routine blood reports like CBC, lipid profile, thyroid profile and blood sugar levels. Go for 2d echocardiography (sonography of heart) also.
5. During the episodes of palpitations and hypertension just calm down, seat and relax. Tab propranolol 10 mg along with tab clonazepam will give relief immediately. But written prescription is must. So ask your doctor about this.
So, with my above guidance you will definitely get the diagnosis and then treatment will be easy.
Free to ask any time regarding any further questions.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
