Question: My daughter is 20 , she has an ulcer, high white blood count, and has lost a lot of weight. She gets dizzy spells and on occasions will pass out. Her eyes roll backwards, she breathes funny and is non responsive for several minutes. When she come to she's sweaty and has no idea what happened. She has even urinated while passed out. Please help. She's uninsured so she doesn't want to go to the Dr. They gave her zantac for her ulcer she says it doesn't really help.

Brief Answer:
sounds like a seizure

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

this is probably epilepsy. She needs investigation and treatment. Zantac won't help with it. I can't comment on the high white blood cells count. I'm going to need the complete report to evaluate it along with clinical information like why did she do the test, her symptoms etc.

Regarding epilepsy, if the diagnosis is confirmed with her history and lab testing then treating her is essential. Without treatment she's going to be in danger because this attack may happen at any time (for example when she's driving or when she's in the middle of a street).

I understand the insurance problem but this is about her life.
I hope you find my comments helpful!

She went to the er because of her stomach hurting. They said yep you have an ulcer here's some zantac. Your white blood cells are up we don't know why. She has only fainted a few times. But the headaches and dizzy spells are often. I will see her today and find out more from her resent Dr.visit.and get back to you.

Brief Answer:
the fainting issues has to be clarified

Detailed Answer:
I understand. It doesn't matter how many times she fainted. Fainting, loosing urine and bizarre breathing movements are all signs of epilepsy. Because epilepsy is a serious disease, it should be confirmed or excluded as soon as possible.

I'll be glad to comment on any more details you may provide.

Kind Regards!
