Brief Answer:
Continue prednisolone now but he should undergo a complete health check.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Your husband seems to have allergy where there is involvement of skin and mucous membrane.

As of now he has to continue prednisolone because of involvement of tongue but he needs to undergo a complete health ckeck to rule out any underlying pathology.

He may also undergo allergy testing and a blood test to find out the level of IgE. Does he get these symptoms often? If so and if his IgE levels are high then he can go for anti IgE injections. For this you may have to consult an immunologist.

Take care.
