Question: I took 2 Tylenol PM ( they are blue pills). They are not working. Can I take 1/2 tablet of alprazolam 0.5 Mg with them? This would be one time only. I can't sleep because I am weaning off the generic brand of Prisriq 75 and I am having hot flashes and insomnia. I intend to talk to my doctor tomorrow for advice. Thanks

Hello,

0.25mg of alprazolam is not a big deal and they won't interact with tylenol, so there is no problem to take them unless you also use other central nervous system depressants like alcohol, antihistamines, antipsychotics, etc. Weaning off velafaxine and having symptoms is perhaps a good reason to start venlafaxine again until you're really ready to stop it or reduce the dosage gradually to the point you have no withdrawal symptoms.
