Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism And Multiple Nodules On Thyroid
Question: I have hypothyriodism and multiple nodules on my thyroid. The largest one being 1.25 cm. I am having trouble swallowing. My EGD showed my esophagus is mildly inflamed. The surgeon gave me reglan and prilosec for it. I had to quit taking it due to side effects. The radiologist says he won't due a biopsy because the nodules are too small. I don't know where to go from here, still having trouble swallowing. Don't know if it is relevant or not but my mother and her sister also had their thyroids removed.
Brief Answer:
Multi nodular goiter
Detailed Answer:
Good day.
Noted your concern. You seems to have multi nodular goiter. Have you had your thyroid blood works done? If so, could you attach the results? .Besides, it would be great, if you could attach the actual thyroid ultrsound report as well. Any solid nodule of more than 1 cm need a needle test (FNA). However, these nodule are very unlikey to be the cause of your swallowing difficulty. Unless i have your thyroid blood works and ultrasound report, i can not opine further about surgery or other forms of treatment. Could you attach those reports please ?
