                                            Question : I have just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant. I have not been to the doctors yet. I am worried as i have an underactive thyroid i am currently taking 100 do i need to put my dose up ? i have read not having enough thyroid hormone can cause problems

hypothyroid is very commonly seen in pregnant. thyroxin is a safe drug in pregnancy. if well controlled thyroid disease has no effect on fetus. pl check your thyroid function and see your obstetrician. continue medication. start taking folic acid 1 tab daily 5 mg . best wishes
