Suggest Treatment For Impaired Renal Function

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
First of all I doubt that the back pain is related to the kidney impairment. Kidneys usually do not hurt unless they are infected or have stones or masses in them. With impaired kidney function with elevated BUN (urea) and creatinine there are medications like angiotensin conerting enzyme inhibitors that can improve function. These must be prescribed by a physician that will monitor kidney function and potassium closely. In order to get a correct diagnosis of the degree of kidney impairment you need to have a glomerular filtration rate done. This can also be done by your local doctor or nephrologist. Treatment involves medications as listed above, making sure blood pressure is controlled and avoiding salt, antiinflammatory medications like ibuprofen and avoiding alcohol.
