Suggest Treatment For Increase In Testicle Size

Question: last four days i feel that the size of my testis is increasing and have a mild pain then i go for whole abdomen ultrasound.
as per usg opinion
mild prostatomegaly(approx wt.-21 gms)-? Benign hypertropy of prostate.N

I have read through your query in detail.
If the size of your testis is increasing with mild pain in testis then it is best to get ultrasound scan abdomen and scrotum (testes) done.

The ultrasound abdomen was suggested to find any urinary problems like stones or infections causing the pain.

I do not completely agree with benign hypertrophy of prostate in your case. This is because the prostate gland is considered to be normal up to 25 grams by most doctors and giving it enlarged at 21 grams might not always be true. Instead of giving as enlarged, I will recommend getting urine volume on full bladder and then after passing urine to assess any urinary obstruction. Please have it clarified with your doctor tomorrow.

I would like to give you a normal report for your prostate size considering the normal cutoff to be 25 grams.

Prostate hypertrophy essentially causes the following and is seen after 60 years age
1. poor stream despite straining
2. hesitancy, frequency and incomplete emptying of the bladder and
3. nocturia (passing urine at night while sleeping)

If you dont have above symptoms then no need to worry for prostate and I will give a normal sized prostate for 21 grams as per international guidelines.

If you have pain in testis then I will suggest a ultrasound scan for testes.

i met with urologist after seing report and touching my testis. he suggested me to take medicine and say that this is urine infection you have to take medicine for one month.
1.Levofloxacin-500 mg(for 15 days in a day)
2.diethylcarbamazine citrate100 mg(three tablet in a day for 21 days0
3.paracetamol ip 325mg,diclofenac sodium ip-50 mg,serratiopeptidase ip-15mg(2 time in a day for 3 days)

2.diethylcarbamazine citrate100 mg(three tablet in a day for 21 days is to treat any possible filariasis as you report swelling and pain in testis.

3.paracetamol ip 325mg,diclofenac sodium ip-50 mg,serratiopeptidase ip-15mg(2 time in a day for 3 days) is for pain relief and quick healing.

Your doctor suspects filariasis which is a mosquito borne infection by parasites or epididymo orchitis due to infection with bacteria. Please avoid any mosquitoes around your home by keeping surroundings clean. If you are in west bengal then filariasis is common and you must take precautions.
