Suggest Treatment For Indigestion And Gut Aches
Hi. It's looks like dyspepsia(stomach problem).
Detailed Answer:
Hi. Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Pain especially after eating food usually indicates 2 main possibilities
1.You might have stomach problem(Dyspepsia)which might include ulcer -I will explain..
2.Gall bladder pathology including stone.
Kindly you mention in which side of navel you have pain because gall bladder colicky pain is usually on Rightside and particularly increased by eating fatty foods.
Stomach dysfunction or spasms cause pain on center or on left side.
MY ADVICE TO YOU IS -
1. You should go for your SONOGRAPHY OF ABDOMEN (our belly) It will clear if any stone or other infections have caused the problem.
2.For 5 to 6 days at least you avoid fatty, spicy foods. Restrict hot and oily foods. Eat more of fruits and juices, fresh vegetables.
Avoid foods which might cause gaseous problem like cabbage, cauliflower, potatoes - they will increase pain if it's stomach problem.
3.Ask your doctor for drugs which are helpful for spasmodic pain of stomach e. g. Tab buscopan or cyclopam. It will help to relieve pain until your doctor can find a problem. You should continue your antacid medicines along with drugs which can reduce nausea for at least 10 days. If on sonography infection is found(enteritis) then you might need antibiotics which your doctor will prescribe you.
4 . Kindly mention if you have constipation also because constipation on Longterm is a common cause of abdominal pain. Relieving constipation will cure your pain permanently.
5.If your pain will not subsided and your doctor can't find anything in sonography than following investigations can be recommended by your doctor
Endoscopy of stomach and esophagus (upper GI endoscopy) - to rule out any ulcers, mass or any pathology.
CT Scan of your abdomen as an when required.
Hope I have given you adequate solution to your problem. It should have been resolved in 1 week.
You can ask whatever confusion you have or telling anything about your symptoms. I am really happy to help you.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
