Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

Yes you can use amoxicillin, polytracin ointment, but it would be more beneficial to you if you use cephalexin, oxacillin or cefaxolin, as theseit drugs are with improved performance.

But you have to discuss it with your doctor as antibiotic which are for injestion or injection must be taken under supervision of your doctor.

Ointment polytracin you can apply.

I also advise some remedies to my patients with following~

1. Fill up your bathtub with very warm water. Mix in a few tablespoons of Epsom salt, and keep your foot submerged in the water for at least a good 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Apply vinegar as it is proven to be effective in many cases of toenail infection.

Take care of your toe and nail.

I hope you have got your answer.

Thanks,
