Brief Answer:
Nail fold infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
You have developed nail fold infection.
There is collection of pus under nail fold as evident from photograph.
I treat such cases with a combination of oral and topical antibiotic.
Tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily and ointment mupirocine to be applied twice daily for a week gives good response.
It is safe and effective.
You can meet a doctor and get these prescribed.
Protect your hand from soap and water as much as possible.
If your hand gets wet, dry it immediately and apply mupirocine.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
