Suggest Treatment For Inflammation On The Lips

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Feb 2017
Question: Hello,
I was told by a homeopath that I need to get Traumeel and Aesculus injections in order to get rid of the inflammation I have on my lips after 4 surgeries I had to remove silicone injected 20+ yrs ago.
My surgeon is not an Homeopath, so he told me to find out how to do the mix and he'll be injecting it for me.
So please let me know how it could be mixed so I can start doing a therapy and avoid further surgeries.
Thank you!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting the Homeopathy section of AYUS(H) and after reviewing your history I’m of the following opinion:

1. As Traumeel is a natural substitute to modern cortisone and anti inflammatory medications thus is used to resolve associated inflammation with many post surgical procedure
2. Since Aesculus is mainly indicated in treatment of piles [although also used in conditions arising from blocking of veins] but I usually prefer it in the former and thus never mixed both the said medicine.
3. I usually prefer/advise Traumeel due to its anti inflammatory, anti edematous and anti exudative effects as:
i. It can be administered intravenously, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intradermally
ii. It is usually indicated for peri articular administration and for intra articular aseptic conditions
iii. If administering with local anesthetic then the solution may be mixed in ratio of 1:1 with 1% or 2% lidocaine and should be administered with a narrow gauge needle
iv. Traumeel injection is provided in 2.0 ml ampule and in your AGE, dose should be 1 ampoule daily or 1 to 2 ampules: 1-3 times weekly.
PS. store at room temperature and protect from light.

Hello,
Thanks for the answer.
I had another consult with another surgeon since besides the inflammation and scar tissue, there's still a huge asymmetry on the lips that the only way to fix it is with another surgery.

Do you think is a good idea to do some injections before the surgery to prepare the tissues so they don't get to swollen and to avoid scar tissue to re-build back again?
And also after surgery of course, do a treatment to avoid inflammation and scar tissue from building back again?

I tried a combination of 5FU and Kenalog injections, that worked for a while, but after the inflammation is back.

Let me know, thank you!

Also, do you thing the treatment with Traumeel will be more long term and a real healer compared to steroids?
Also what is the meaning of:
" peri articular administration and for intra articular aseptic conditions"

Thank you.

Dear
Thanks for reverting back

1. As you said that the only way to fix lip asymmetry is ‘SURGERY’ thus swelling is bound to happen [normal part of healing] and as such your modern attending Physician/Anesthetic will be in best position to explain about the same.
2. To prevent brusing avoid pain killers, and use arnica XXXXXXX containing products [patches are good],bromelain [found in pineapple],parsley, ginger, gentle massage
3. Traumeel is an emerging option to NSAID [non steroidal anti inflammatory] drugs in reducing symptoms of inflammation, accelerating recovery, improving mobility, with a favorable safety profile.
4. Peri articular means [around the joint:] and intra articular means [within the joint] but as the area concerned is Lip [soft tissue] thus local or general infiltration is advisable.[depending upon the age, and choice by Anesthesia doctor.
