Suggest Treatment For Ingrown Toenail
Oral & topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and your nail and the neighbouring skin is looking quite inflammed and infective.
I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines.
If I was your treating doctor I would ask you take tablet containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid combination 625 mg twice daily for 7 days along with application of mupirocin cream on the affected areas twice daily.
Besides this I would recommend you to take tablet containing serratiopeptidase and diclofenac combination to reduce pain, redness and swelling for 3-5 days.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Also wear open footwear, avoid wearing shoes and avoid pedicure and trauma to the nail.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
