Question: Ran out of ativan, taking 6 mg per night with seroquel 200 mg for insomnia anxiety and depression.
I have some klonopin, i mg tablets, can I take them to stave off withdrawal? and if so, how much should I take? Cannot reach any of my doctors as it is a huge snowstorm here in NYC.

You can take klonopin to decrease the withdrawal symptoms due to abrupt cessation of Ativan.
This is just the emergency solution. As soon as the snow storm shuts down, you need to visit your prescrbing doctor.
In my patient I would give at least 3 to 4 mg of klonopin to get relief from withdrawal of ativan.
