Posted on Wed, 11 May 2016
Question: I have intense back pain on the right side in the middle of the back that radiates to the front at times under the breast. I have tried Advil Robacacet and Volerten cream. Nothing has helped . This started with minor very localized pain about 3 days ago. It has increased in intensity making sleep impossible.

Brief Answer:
I have listed a few symptoms ma'am, pls write back

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The characteristic pain and location described by you is most probably related to the gastrointestinal tract, but can also be related to the hepatobiliary system (gall bladder and liver).

The pain killers that you are taking will not help reduce the pain as long as the source of the pain is present; in order to battle this we must first get an ultrasound of your abdomen and pelvis conducted. This investigation will help visualise the organs located in and around that region, and provide us vital information on management and treatment.

Let me also list a few symptoms for you, and please do write back to me with a 'Y' (yes) or 'N' (no), they are:

+Abdominal bloating
+Acid reflux
+Increased gas
+Poor appetite
+Heartburn
+Nausea
+Vomiting
+Diarrhea
+Dry cough
+Bitter taste in mouth from regurgitation of food or liquid into your mouth
+Sore throat
+Sensation of a lump at the back of your throat
+Regurgitation of food or liquid into your mouth
+Fever
+Tenderness is your abdomen when touched
+Discoloured stool (clay, grey, etc.)
+Chronic fatigue
+Dark urine
+Increased pain after consuming a fatty meal (oily, fried, fatty, spicy)
+Skin and/or eyes that appear slightly yellow

I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Speak to your doctor to initiate anti-viral medications

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

So that was the cause for the emergence of the rash. I would recommend consulting your doctor to initiate the following:

+Anti-viral medications to help suppress the infection
+Pain management to help treat any pain you have ma'am
+Topical creams to help treat the rash

Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
