Suggest Treatment For Irregular Bleeding After Abortion

Question: I got my 1st period 7 wks after obortion. spotted for 2 days, then heavy bleeding for 8 days and again after 1 week of spotting had sex.then medium bleeding again for 10 days and this is 4 th day of spotting. My hcg levels are 5 a week back and no abnormalities in ultrasound report but lining was thick. Is this normal

Do you mean by birth control pills? i am planning to get pregnant as soon as possible. My doctor suggested BCP but i am afraid to take it. Are there any other progesterone pills that are not contraceptive? wht are other remedies besides BCP? Are there any side effects if I take these pills?

Hi dear, it is always advisable to delay the pregnancy by 6 months after an abortion.
However, apart from birth control pills, you can be given medroxyprogesterone acetate to control DUB, however it is not advisable to conceive while taking this drug.

can the periods regulate itself without any medications? i have heard that sometimes BCP make periods worse. I do not want to try different medications and mess my body again as i want to conceive soon. Any problems in just waiting for the periods to regulate itself.

seems like my endometrial thickness is 17.4 mm on ultrasound. Is this normal after obortion. How should should i take medications. can i take for a month and regulate my periods?
